Synopsis

"Do you think you could fall for me?" After her mere three-year marriage ends in divorce, Akari Kitagawa returns to her old workplace. But as her ex-husband used to work there, she's questioned by the prying, gossip-loving older staff, some even suggesting the split was her fault. Just then, Takaya Makimura-her former junior colleague-nominates himself as her fiancé in front of everyone. "He used to be such a sweet coworker. How could he say something so outrageous?!" Akari confronts him, only to find he said it on the spur of the moment to defuse the awkward situation. She demands he take it back, but Takaya refuses, saying it's too late. "Instead, you might as well fall for me for real," he says, stealing a kiss from her lips. Akari is taken aback, but his passionate kiss breaks down her will to resist... "It's too late to back out now." What will become of Akari?! A fake proposal from her junior coworker sets off a whirlwind romance, where truth and pretense become entwined.
